5 Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Not-for-Profit Organizations

Presenter: John Stephens, CISSP, CEHv8, Pentest+, Security+, ITIL Foundation, Managing Parner, Luminant Digital Security

Session Brief: Don't fool yourself, most companies aren’t doing even basic cybersecurity well. With most Not-for-Profit organizations PCI compliance is required for their donation systems, but even before diving into that the fundamentals are incredibly important to set the right foundation. We see it every day, if you have a $ in the bank, then there's a reason to target you and your staff. We will cover the 5 Key Cybersecurity Fundamentals every Not-for-Profit Organization needs to dramatically reduce your risk of a security incident like a ransomware outbreak and email system breach.

Target Audience: Executive Directors, CFO, COO, IT Stakeholders

About Our Presenter: John is the managing partner at Luminant, as well as one of our lead consultants. He has over 20 years of experience providing IT and security services across a broad range of industries, including government, not-for-profit, health care clients, professional services, hospitality, manufacturing and retail. His areas of specialty include PCI and DFARS compliance, IT security assessments, and strategic security consulting.
In addition, he is the lead on the penetration testing team.

Moderated by: Greg Astley, Director of Government Affairs, Oregon Restaurant and Lodging Association - This session will also be an open forum with audience participation.

What We'll Cover: The importance of workplace wellness is more relevant than ever -- we're all trying to balance our professional lives, never-ending queue of tasks and the added pressures of personal and home obligations. Burnout, time and productivity, conflict and stress management, sickness and health -- they're all issues employers, employees, and offices big and small face. Who has it dialed in? Who is working on getting a better grasp of how to implement meaningful solutions? Join Greg Astley and fellow association professionals as they navigate this landscape; we will discuss an action plan that works for your organization, who can help make it happen and be responsible for measurable outcomes.

We will do a deep-dive into what some associations are doing and provide a forum to analyze what's important through small group and table exercises.
